Your Next Project: Water Well in Haiti

Water, a simple yet life-giving resource. We often take our clean, fresh water for granted in the USA. However, nearly 50% of Haiti lacks access to improved water sources. Our mission is to change that.

Some of our schools lack a dependable source of clean water, and children often carry water from distant public sources. This project aims to provide a new working water well to address these challenges and improve health.

We drill two types of wells in Haiti:

• With support from Blue Ridge Drilling, Star of Hope can drill a new well in a water-poor community for $5,000, providing a simple hand pump unit.
• For $27,000, we can drill and build a solar-powered water kiosk, serving varied populations.

Clean water is essential, and this project will contribute to reducing deaths caused by waterborne diseases by 50%.

Let’s break it down differently: global warnings suggest that only one in three people will have access to clean water in the future. By drilling now, we can mitigate this expected decrease and provide improved water to those who have none.
